About me

A lifelong storyteller

As a professional storyteller and celebrant, I believe in the power of words to help us during times of sorrow and loss. Sharing stories about a loved one can unite, comfort and inspire us.

That’s why I draw on my decades of experience as a copywriter to bring a stronger storytelling element to the ceremonies that I create. My aim is to deliver funerals and memorial services that are as unique as your loved one.

Connected by love

I’m the adoptive mum of two young adults, so I have a true understanding of the joys and challenges surrounding some family dynamics. When a loved one dies, our sorrow is real whether our relationship is fully recognised by others or not.

Step-families, unmarried partners, LGBTQ+ community… whatever your connection to the deceased or each other, I’m here for you. No assumptions. No judgment. Just a willingness to listen and acknowledge your loss.

The team

I write at home, usually with my beloved dog, Rosie, snoring under my desk and a helpful cat trying to walk across my keyboard. Rosie and I love walking on Shoreham beach, which is just a pebble’s throw from our door. After drying her paws, I like to curl up with a cuppa, a biscuit and a book.
